Richard Thompson, Keynote Speaker
Richard Thompson is the founder and Executive Director of the Thomas More Law
Center, a public interest law firm dedicated to the defense and
promotion of the religious freedom of Christians, family values, and the
sanctity of human life. The Center is involved in litigation across the United
States, and has been acclaimed as the “Catholic Answer to the ACLU.” He is known
for his role as Oakland County Prosecutor in which he
prosecuted mass murderer Jack Kevorkian. In a time when politicians determine
right and wrong by public opinion polls, Richard Thompson stood firmly by his
conviction that assisted suicide was legally, morally, and ethically wrong. As a
result of his role in the prosecution of Kevorkian including the national
debates over physician assisted suicide, Mr. Thompson converted to Catholicism
in 1998. Fr. John Hardon, S.J. baptized and confirmed him at Assumption Grotto
Church in Detroit. He and his wife Marylyn have three sons and live in Ann
Arbor.

Dear Friends and Supporters of Call to Holiness:
Subject: CTH Benefit Dinner
May God bless you with abundant graces this year! I am sending this letter
because Call to Holiness is in need of your financial help and you have either
attended one of our Call to Holiness conferences in Sterling Heights, or have
supported our efforts in other ways. Our conference last October was a wonderful
spiritual and educational experience for more than 1,000 attendees. I am hoping
that you can assist us – our board of trustees and myself – as we continue
planning our 11th conference scheduled on April 28th, 2007 at two parishes in
Michigan, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Wyandotte and St. René Goupil in Sterling
Heights. We have been fortunate to have as our guest speaker, Mr. Richard
Thompson, founder and Executive Director of the Thomas More Law Center to speak
to us. The Law Center is involved in litigation across the United States, and
has been acclaimed as the “Catholic Answer to the ACLU”. In addition, there will
be a discussion of our new 2007 Conference format, something different and
exciting. We hope you will join us.
Remember, your donations are tax deductible. We hope your gift will enable us to
continue evangelizing by hosting the 2007 CTH conference.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Eduard Perrone, CTH Spiritual Advisor
